Abit propone due nuove soluzioni rack

In questi ultimi tempi si sta verificando una crescita della domanda per le piattaforme server. Proprio in ragione di quanto appena affermato, Abit ha annunciato di aver sviluppato due soluzioni server rack, denominate SI-1N e SI-1Na, entrambe per processori Pentium 4 e basate sul chipset Intel 845GL, soluzione integrated graphics.

Not only are the boards configured to provide efficient user workload processing, but are also thoughtfully designed to allow for versatile final system implementations through their support of internal I/O pin headers for disk-on-modules, Smart Card readers or LCD module connections.

The SI-1N, configured with 4-channel IDE RAID, is positioned to provide a truly non-blocking storage I/O and data protection mechanism to entry-level network-attached storage (NAS) appliances. In addition, the SI-1N’s support of dual gigabit Ethernet LANs with fail-over and load-balancing capability creates an unprecedented value to entry-level storage appliances.

With the SI-1Na, ABIT aims to provide a cost-effective platform for 1-U rack mount VPN/security appliances. To efficiently service the target applications, the SI-1Na implements two performance IntelÒ 82550EY Ethernet LAN controllers with integrated 3DES IPSec encryption engine and Alert-On-LAN functionality. A VPN/security appliance built using the SI-1Na can immediately benefit from the advanced security and manageability features and eliminate additional cost for separate add-on devices.
